1/2008 — Fortune Small Business Magazine Taps Mattatuck Online Expertise
Fortune Small Business magazine recently called on Mattatuck Consulting to help answer a reader inquiry. The article which was featured on CNNMoney.com discussed techniques and strategies for bringing online visibility to the Web site of a small business competing against larger, more well-funded and well-established players. "We're pleased to be recognized for our expertise in online marketing," noted Mattatuck founder Dan Lynch. "Other firms make a great deal of noise about their so-called expertise, but we prefer to let our client-work speak on our behalf — after all, results are what our clients are looking for!"
1/2008 — O'Donnell Limousine Celebrates Twenty Years of Service
Connecticut-based O'Donnell Limousine, a privately owned and operated CT Limo company specializing airport transportation and corporate travel celebrates their 20th year throughout 2008. "We're extremely proud of our reputation throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut, and New York where we know our clients have many options," said John O'Donnell, company founder. "This is a competitive business, but by keeping our focus on the customer and the highest level of service, we've been able to maintain a steady base of clients — some of whom we have been driving for nearly two decades."
11/2007 — Country Club of Waterbury Re-Launches Web Site
The Country Club of Waterbury, a private Donald Ross design with roots dating to 1899 has turned to Mattatuck Consulting to enhance their Web site which was first launched five years ago. Since the first design was launched in 2002, members have grown more comfortable with the Internet and were seeking additional information online.
11/2007 — Mayor Michael Jarjura Wins Re-Election
After winning a historic write-in campaign for Mayor of the city of Waterbury in 2005, incumbent Mayor Mike Jarjura won re-election for another two-year term. He has served as Mayor of the city of Waterbury since January 1st, 2002 and has returned stability to the city after years of fiscal mismanagement and corruption that thrust Waterbury into national headlines for all the wrong reasons. With this recent win, Jarjura joins a short list of Waterbury Mayors to serve for more than three consecutive terms.
10/2007 — Nonprofit Foundation Helps Save Ellis Island History
Since 1982, The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation has been helping to save Ellis Island and its' rich history by preserving and restoring the physical structures, as well as educating millions of visitors about the largest documented migration in world history.
6/2007 — Westfield Shoppingtown Mall Tops Search Queries
For the second consecutive year, the keyword phrase trumbull mall ranks among the top ten keyword phrases for the Greater Bridgeport market served by the popular local search site www.8towns.com — serving Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Milford, Shelton, Stratford, and Trumbull. More than 800,000 Google queries are submitted each month by users seeking a business or service in this eight town region.
5/2007 — Community Directory Launches for Greater New London Market
Demonstrating an expertise in local online marketing, Mattatuck has launched a community directory for the Greater New London CT market of southeastern Connecticut. The site is part of a network of sites designed to connect area businesses with area residents. The Mystic CT region is a popular Connecticut tourist location made even more popular by the nearby Indian casinos.
4/2007 — Ellis Island Family Heritage Awards
The 6th annual Ellis Island Family Heritage Awards celebrate the historic record-breaking day of American Immigration. On April 17, 1907, officials at the Ellis Island Immigrant Processing Station processed 11,747 arrivals making it the busiest day in the 62-year history of Ellis Island. The 2007 honorees include Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K), John J. Mack, William D. Novelli, and Josie Natori.
4/2007 — New Genealogy Service Connects Family Historians With Products & Services
A unique, new online service for genealogy will pair family history enthusiasts with the leading vendors providing products, services, events, and destinations for genealogists. This service, called GenealogyPays.com offers cash awards to registered users for solving genealogy-related trivia puzzles. The service is supported by sponsors and will serve as a jumping-off point to the best of everything for family history enthusiasts.
3/2007 — Statue of Liberty Picture Contest Winners Announced
The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation announced the winners of their first-ever picture contest for students in grades kindergarten through fifth. The contest was held to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty which was first dedicated on October 28, 1886.
2/2007 — Mattatuck Founder Tapped for Search Engine Expertise
Mattatuck was recognized as a leading Search Engine Optimzation (SEO) consultant in the northeast (New York and New England). By demonstrating effective techniques for terms like Triumph Bonneville and Trumbull real estate, the pros at Mattatuck have proven a deep understanding of how to increase visibility in natural (also called organic) search engine rankings.
1/2007 — London-based FindMyPast.com Launches Outbound Passenger Lists
FindMyPast.com (formerly called 1837online.com) officially unveiled their AncestorsOnBoard.com site providing access to all departing passenger records from any UK port between 1890 to 1960. This significant collection is being made available in cooperation with The National Archives (UK) and includes, among others, the passenger lists for the Titanic.
Mattatuck Consulting was selected in early 2006 to help assess the North American market and develop a strategy for introduction of the service to genealogists and family historians in the United States and Canada. These records, known as BT27 (for Board of Trade, record group 27) have never been scanned or transcribed prior to this effort and are expected to be invaluable to family historians worldwide. The initial launch includes records from 1890-1899, but additional decades to be added throughout 2007 as scanning and transcription are completed with tight quality controls.
